The Lib Dem Focus team has been getting bushes cut back right across the new Monkston ward so your street name can be seen again.
Bad Buses
Ever since the Conservative run MK Council cut the bus subsidy by nearly £1/2 million, your local Lib Dem team has been concerned about the quality of the service.
Bus user, Vanessa McPake, has been keeping an eye on the bus changes in our area since the new timetable came into force. She has been contacted by residents about the nos. 8 & 9 services not running on time.
Do tell Vanessa by providing: the date location of bus stop time the bus was supposed to arrive time it did arrive.
She will then take up the problems with Arriva who run these services
Update on Walton Park Reserved Site
Your local Lib Dem Focus team has just heard from the Homes & Communities Agency (HCA) that they have agreed a developer for the site on the corner of Chase Avenue and Limbaud Close.
The good news is that the agreement is for just 5 detached houses (you may recall the original proposal was for up to 10).
Your Lib Dem Focus team has already raised your concerns about road access and the possible destruction of the trees.
We have been told that consultation with residents will start late August and we will keep you posted on progress and ensure you are all consulted.
Keep it Clean!
Vanessa McPake, Subhan Shafiq and Jenni Ferrans were doing their bit to clean up play areas recently near Bridlington Crescent, Monkston. Residents are asking why the mess is so much worse than when the LibDems ran the Council.
New Development in Walton Manor
Early plans are being developed for high tech companies in a special science park opposite the OU, with access from the H9 Groveway.
As part of this development there may be some housing at the southern side, bordering Simpson Road and next to Walton Grange. Your local Lib Dem Focus team will keep you posted and ensure you are able to take part at the consultation stage.
The Lib Dem team has met with MK Council and asked if a play area can be built into the scheme so that children from Walton Grange and Walton Park have somewhere to play – something that is badly missing at present!
