Self-Build at Monkston Park

Vacant plots at Queensbury Lane go up for sale

Jenni Ferrans writes:the first three of the vacant plots on the even numbered side of Queensbury Lane, Monkston Park are being advertised for sale for single self-build houses. Please contact us if you want more details.

If there is enough interest, the remaining plots will follow soon.  If not, they will be held until next year.  The end plots have been deemed big enough to hold two houses, but we wait to see what buyers propose.

Once buyers have the land, they will put planning applications in, and residents will be able to comment at that stage.

Residents discuss the plans for Walton Manor and Limbaud Close, Walton Park with the Focus team

Thank you to all the residents who attended the recent public meeting the Lib Dem Focus team organised so that people could have their say on the proposals for Walton Manor and the Chase Avenue development.

The Chase Avenue plans were already in, and residents got a good look at what was proposed.  Amendments have been put in since, so look on the website for more details at:

http://publicaccess2.milton-keynes.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=summary&keyVal=MXFGZTKWB5000

All the residents comments on Walton Manor will be given to MK Council so that they know the strength of feeling of local residents
on some aspects of the proposals.  The brief will go to the Cabinet for approval before going to MKDP to be included in the pack when they market the site to the developers.

Developments in Walton

On 28/3/2014 the Liberal Democrat Focus team held an exhibition about the proposed new developments in the Walton area.  These include 5 self-build houses off Limbaud Close/Chase Avenue in Walton Park, and a new site to be developed, north of Simpson Road by Walton Grange and the industry there.

What is decided at this stage can’t be undone later!  Please – HAVE YOUR SAY NOW!

Plans Approved for Bedgebury Place, Kents Hill

MK Council has passed the plans for 40 new homes at Bedgebury Place, Kents Hill. Work should start in April with residents arriving in
2015.  Discussions with the developers led to a reduction of the number of houses facing onto Tunbridge Grove, and safety improvements to the road, as well as contributions to buses and schools.

Cllr Jenni Ferrans said “This was an example of developer consultation at its best.  The developers put on an exhibition and publicised it well, and attended the Parish Council too.  They were then very willing to work with us to make the changes that residents wanted.  We didn’t get all of them – there is still more tandem parking than we want – but it’s much improved as a result.  Well done Bellways!”

Bellways are hoping to start work in August 2014 and complete by November 2015.

Strategic Reserve Area Plans In

The SPD includes a single carriageway extension to the H10, with Britten Grove acting as a road link but closing the footpath.  What do you think?
