Yet again, problems with litter and rubbish right across Monkston ward have been taking up the Lib Dems time. If you spot any litter or dumped rubbish please do report it to the team.

Cllr. Jenni Ferrans contacted MK Council to remove this lot from the bus stop outside Walton High and to get the play areas in Studley Knapp (photo) and Tatling Grove, Walnut Tree cleared.
The Liberal Democrat’s Pupil Premium provides schools with extra money to help children from disadvantaged backgrounds.
This will help whole classes move forward faster together.

There have been a number of burglaries and thefts from cars over the past few months in our area. The police are doing their best to catch the gang responsible and have been giving out advice to residents including:

Sadly, some young hooligans have destroyed four of the seven trees next to Heronsbrook Meeting Place. This land is owned by the Parks Trust who will replace the trees in the spring. Vanessa McPake has had discussions with the police and the Parks Trust. They are both keeping an eye on the area. The police say if you spot anyone causing damage please report it straight away by ringing 101.

After months of problems, ignored by MK Council, some greenery is finally being cut back. Please let us know if any areas have been missed.

Vanessa McPake got the overhanging tree in Frithwood Crescent, Kents Hill, cut back to stop residents being hit by branches.
Reminder: do put your rubbish out by 7.00am on the day of collection, or late the night before. Please don’t miss your collection day! The rubbish bags can be attacked by wildlife and can attract rats.

The developer of the Chase Avenue/Limbaud Close site has been announced. There will only be 5 large self-build homes on the site. The Lib Dem Focus team has demanded a full public consultation so residents can have their say on traffic and landscape issues.
After years of residents forging their own path from Balmerino in Monkston over to Middleton and Broughton, a proper footpath will finally be created.
Cllr Jenni Ferrans says “The Focus team have been campaigning for this path for years, but we got nowhere with the developers. Now at last the land is in the hands of the Parish Council and they have agreed.”
Kents Hill and Monkston Parish Council has decided to surface the footpath down the side of the allotments. And they’ve finally got permission from the Parks Trust to extend the extra few metres over Parks Trust land to meet up with the redway going to Middleton and Broughton.
